The IMMUTOL consortium met for the 1st Annual Meeting in Barcelona on the 6th and 7th of June 2024, hosted by the team of Assist. Prof. Jordi Martorell López at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS), Barcelona Spain.
The 2-day event was a great occasion to share and discuss the progress made and challenges faced during the first 12 months of the project.
The meeting’s first day was mainly focused on presenting progress on work packages, while the second day was dedicated to roundtable discussions. The brainstorming sessions on the second day provided an excellent opportunity for discussing and making decisions on topics such as selecting the protocol and antigen for generating 2nd generation VitD3 cells, sharing reagents, regulatory pathways, patient selection, and engaging with patient organizations and outreach.
